Important Information:
When arriving at New Student Orientation, you will meet in room 143 in the lower level of Ivy Tech Kosciusko County. There will be signs that point you downstairs and down the hall. You can also check in with Ivy Tech Security and they will lead the way.
Items needed:
- Adults, that means 18 years or older. Bring your current ID and SSN card. If you don’t have an SSN, please schedule an appointment with the Social Security Office in Elkhart. It does take 3-4 weeks to arrive. We will accept a Birth Certificate and a W-2 form to verify your SS#. Exceptions will not be made; we apologize if that causes an inconvenience.
- Minors, that means 16 or 17 years old. Bring your current ID, SSN card, your withdrawal form (Exit Form) from your previous school, and your parent/guardian. Parents will need to attend the first Orientation day, unless we schedule a meeting before New Student Orientation. Parents are welcome to wait in the student lounge or come back once the student is finished with New Student Orientation.
Orientation is a two-day requirement. We have testing both days, and this determines your Individual Learning Plan. If you miss a day, you will be asked to return at the next New Student Orientation opportunity; no exceptions will be made. We will announce class schedules based on availability; not everyone who attends orientation will be called back for class the following week. Enrollment is subject to seat availability.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate this coming year. -Warsaw Adult Ed Team
